Ashish Papanai is an M.Sc. Machine Learning student at the University of Tübingen and an ELIZA Master’s Scholarship recipient, working with Prof. Hilde Kuehne at the CVML Lab on spatial audio, multimodal systems, spatial audio-visual question answering (Spatial-AVQA), and world models. Previously he was an Associate ML Scientist at the Wadhwani Institute for Artificial Intelligence, where he built and deployed computer vision systems for crop monitoring, pest detection, and yield estimation, contributing to the CottonAce system within India’s National Pest Surveillance System. His research spans multimodal perception, medical image AI, and uncertainty-aware, deployable ML.
