- Master’s Student
Dominik Scheuer is a Computer Science Master’s student at the University of Freiburg, specializing in Artificial Intelligence. His research sits at the intersection of deep learning and bioinformatics, with a focus on Prior-Data Fitted Networks (PFNs) and Synthetic Data. Most recently, he has contributed to the field of RNA folding kinetics by developing KinPFN, a novel Bayesian approximation method for the efficient prediction of kinetic folding time distributions through in-context learning, which was published at ICLR 2025.
Alongside his studies, he is a Research Assistant at the Machine Learning Lab Freiburg. Before that, he worked as a Software Engineer in the financial sector and as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Medical Biometry and Statistics at the University Hospital Freiburg.
