Education & Career at ELIZA
ELIZA, the Konrad Zuse School of Excellence in Learning and Intelligent Systems, offers exceptional educational opportunities in machine learning-driven Artificial Intelligence. We provide rigorous master’s and PhD programs at participating institutions. Our curriculum is continuously evolving and features novel formats such as cross-listed joint courses, thematic workshops and summer schools. A key element of our PhD program is co-advising, ensuring students benefit from diverse perspectives from different institutions or industry. We are committed to equipping our graduates with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their future careers. By the end of 2027, the School will have produced a significant number of master’s and PhD graduates, with a strong representation of international scholars and women, well qualified to take leading AI positions in industry and academia.
The ELIZA Network
ELIZA is the national German educational platform for ELLIS (European Laboratory for Learning and Intelligent Systems) and thus a vital link between top academic institutions in machine learning-driven AI within Germany and national and international educational and industrial partners. Our strong cross-site German network connects leading academic and industrial players in the field, attracting new fellows and an ever-broader range of partners. Through networking and media activities, ELIZA promotes collaboration and knowledge exchange. We aim to consolidate ELIZA as the national German university network for machine learning-driven AI, benefitting from sustained commitments from the federal government and states, industry and participating institutions.
